Plemmirio<\/strong> is a marine protected area located a few kilometers from the historic center of Syracuse<\/strong>, Sicily. The area has a wild, rocky coastline that is home to some of the island’s most beautiful beaches. In this article, we will describe the four most famous beaches in Plemmirio<\/strong>: Massoliveri Beach, Cala Zaffiro, Minaret Beach, and Pillirina Punta della Mola.<\/p>\n

Massoliveri Beach<\/h2>\n

Massoliveri Beach<\/strong> is a small beach of fine sand located in a wind-protected bay. The crystal clear water and shallow waters make it ideal for families with children. The beach is surrounded by a cliff and lush vegetation. Access to the beach is only possible on foot, but the beauty of the place amply repays the effort of the walk.<\/p>\n

Sapphire Reef<\/h2>\n

Cala Zaffiro<\/strong> is a beautiful cove characterized by a cliff where, depending on the weather, you might find a small beach with white pebbles and a crystal clear sea that takes on different shades of blue. Sapphire Cove is reached by a flight of steps down the cliff. The surrounding landscape is very picturesque, with the presence of small caves and dense vegetation. The s is very quiet and uncrowded, ideal for those seeking relaxation and tranquility. To reach it, simply enter “Sapphire Street”<\/strong> into your satellite phone and follow it to the end.<\/p>\n

Minaret Beach<\/h2>\n

Minaret Beach<\/strong> is one of the most famous beaches in Plemmirio<\/strong>. It lies at the foot of an ancient Arab-Norman<\/strong> lighthouse and is characterized by a beach of fine sand and crystal clear water. The view of the lighthouse and the ruins of an ancient fortified settlement add to the atmospheric atmosphere. The beach is quite busy, but no less pleasant to visit. Only drawback: Parking! The road is quite bumpy, so parking in nearby places is recommended. Adjacent to the minaret beach it is possible to see remnants of Greek times, particularly Silos <\/strong>used in Hellenistic times for collecting water and grain.<\/p>\n
