MY NAME.
IS FRANCESCO
I was born and raised in the beautiful city of Syracuse.
I am connected to my land and consider myself really lucky to have worked during the past 7 years in welcoming tourists and visitors from all over the world.
In my work as an environmental hiking guide (GAE) I prefer unconventional destinations and lead my guests to discover enchanting and hidden places in Sicily.
Thanks to my degree in History and Political Science and subsequent specialization in the History and Culture of Mediterranean Countries, I have become passionate about telling the story of the dominations and contaminations that have crossed Sicily during the last three millennia.
I am also a sportsman, having played water polo for many years at a semiprofessional level, which has allowed me to travel through Italy and Europe coming into contact with other cultures and traditions. I love the sea, snorkeling and underwater tourism. My activities focus on respect for the environment and knowledge of the local area.
Starting from the concept of sustainable tourism, my intention is to contribute to the enhancement of Sicily’s natural and cultural heritage.

that in recent decades has devastated – all too often irreversibly –
part of our natural and cultural heritage.

In fact, my excursions are suitable for a small number of people at a time precisely to make it possible to implement sustainability and environmental education practices.

The main mission aims to unveil the most characteristic aspects of our area, while also focusing on social issues, such as the concept of “inclusion & diversity.”

Certainly at the core of all activities is the interest in fostering the development of the local economy through collaboration and cooperation with other tourism associations and businesses that have taken part in the development of this joint project.
The goal is to reach out and create new practices of experiential and social tourism, as well as accessible tourism, creating synergies that can bring innovation and development to our territory.
